We offer regular and intensive programmes for overseas or foreign students interested in learning Portuguese.

Modalities for these programmes for individuals and closed groups are:
- classes at residence or workplace
- intensive course at training centre
- immersion homestay or hotelstay

We provide the ideal environment for senior and adult students to learn Portuguese with experienced, flexible and motivated teachers in the city and interior of São Paulo. In the case of intensive courses and immersions, students interact with their teacher and our coordinator during meals and activities and with Brazilian citizens during visits and cultural trips.

Course Overview

This course is for students of all levels that need to communicate effectively in Portuguese for business, studies or pleasure. Our qualified native teachers have the experience to understand the needs of non-native students, such as grammar topics, verb conjugation, word use and pronunciation. We use the most effective course books on the market and supplementary teaching material based on updated video, audio and articles from reliable sources and activities that allow assimilation through constant practice.

Levels

Levels of our Portuguese programmes are Essentials I (elementary) Essentials II (beginner), Advance I (pre-intermediate), Advance II (intermediate) and Advance III (advanced), based on the Common European Framework.

Duration

Duration of our programmes and courses depend exclusively on student needs and availability. Based on a pre-established number of classroom hours for each level or specific language-based objectives, we create custom language programmes at no extra cost, with coordination, evaluations, follow-up and reliable customer assistance, where the student can learn at his or her own pace and adapt the course timeline according to availability and urgency. For full assimilation of a language level and sufficient practice, we recommend a minimum of 120 classroom hours.

Methodology

All our course material is based on the Direct Method and the Communicative Approach. Topics and activities can be adapted or customized in case of specific requests or special difficulties such as pronunciation and grammar.

Syllabus and Course Content

Course content depends on student needs, but we prepare all students for effective interaction in most daily situations, such as:
- shopping, travelling, purchasing
- writing and written communication
- news and current events
- meetings, social events
- education and studying (preparation for Portuguese language tests for university admission), when requested
- work and business (special terminology), when requested

Leisure and Cultural Activities

Students can choose from a wide range of leisure activities and cultural visits. We respect the preferences and pace of each student and do not plan activities that are not based on student interests. Activities include Festivals, Congresses and Trade Fairs, Museums, Theatre and Music, Festivities, Sports and Recreation, and Shopping. All activities are charged separately, and not included in the tuition fees. All activities are limited to the State of São Paulo.
